ASKING YOUR SOUL FOR GUIDANCE AS AN ACTOR

When I first became an actor, it’s amazing how all I thought about was the law of averages. Basically, if I audition for “x” number of roles, I’m bound to book “x” many. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the amount of time this took and the exhaustion this created. I knew that I couldn’t go on like this forever.

A time came when I stepped away from acting to do some extreme soul searching. One of the most amazing truths was revealed to me during that time. Your soul is present to guide you in whatever task you may partake in. It will inform you if the decision is in your highest good, or if it is unfavorable. It’s just that simple.

So as actors and actresses, why don’t we use this magnificent GPS (Guidance Providing System)to enable us to achieve our heart’s greatest desires as performers? It’s not like Spirit can’t permeate the walls of Hollywood, right? In fact, if you ask and are willing to be led,
