THE LIFE OF AN ACTOR: THE FUN IS JUST GETTING STARTED FOR YOU.
As 2018 comes to a close, you may have booked a ton of jobs, you may have booked a couple of jobs or you may have booked none this entire year.
For those of you that are booking like crazy, this message is for you just as much as it is for those who are clinging to the hope of something greater in 2019.
Almost ten years ago in 2009, I recall booking one job the entire year. I truly feel like this was my best year as an actor. You might ask why is that so if your success rate was so low? Well here’s why:
“It made me take a long look deep inside myself to see what I could improve upon. It also made me open to creativity in other arenas.”
As actors and actresses, we can often be like stubborn mules when it comes to the higher plan in place. We see our colleagues succeeding and booking the best roles out there and we can’t but help compare ourselves to them.
But, the truth of the matter is, your journey is not theirs my friend. But, your journey will be just as great! You just have to stay the course.
